The 14,300-square-foot Frank Habibian Wrestling and Athletic Center features a 6,400-square-foot weight training facility for Utah Tech student-athletes, along with 4,800 square feet dedicated to youth and college club wrestling10388. In addition, the Center houses locker-room facilities for the men and women soccer teams, two coaches’ offices and one classroom.
The Utah Tech Strength and Conditioning program is housed in the Frank Habibian Wrestling and Athletic Center which opened in 2010. The 6.400 square foot weight training facility located in the north end of the10389building houses the equipment and offices for the Strength and Conditioning program. The equipment in this state of the art facility includes an Ecore Everlast floor with 12 inlaid custom Olympic platforms, 12 Power Racks, 12 adjustable benches, dumbbells ranging from 5-125 lbs, 12 power bars, seven Olympic bars, seven U-shaped deadlift-bars, seven training barbells, seven pairs of Blast Straps, seven adjustable squat boxes, eight pairs of Fat Gripz, two GHR machines, one Pit Shark, one cable crossover system, one multidirectional hip machine, onw leg press, one recumbent stationary bike, one AirDyne bike and two treadmills.
In addition, there are various other pieces of equipment including bands of various tensions and sizes, foam rollers, medicine balls, sleds, large padded flexibility/ warm up area, and over 5,000 lbs of free weights. This facility was designed for and is used exclusively by our varsity student athletes with a full time Strength and Conditioning staff.”
